Confetti Futures is a playful thought experiment and series of visual explorations stemming from close observation and recurring visits to a stairwell housing a red fire standpipe system.

 

At first this site appears uninviting, remote, industrial, and utilitarian. But once you stop to look around, you notice there is a world of wonder in there.

 

Using raw observations from the site and a variety of visual graphic methods,

I let the space reveal its story to me.

Here, any reality could exist.

Any thought could flow.

Any idea could materialize.
